ABOUT TIRTHA SOMA

A sacred passage and a return to Self

Nanette is a Melbourne-based somatic practitioner, yoga and meditation teacher devoted to creating spaces where people can slow down, reconnect, and return to themselves.

Drawing from over 15 years of personal yoga practice and extensive training in Traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Heartworks Lomi Lomi, Spinal Energetics, and Transcendental Meditation, her work brings together ancient wisdom and contemporary nervous system awareness in a way that is both grounded and accessible.

Alongside her somatic and movement-based training, Nanette has devoted over two decades to the exploration of meditation, intuitive development, and subtle energy practices. This long-standing path informs the intuitive sensitivity, discernment, and depth she brings to her work.

After a 24-year career in the corporate IT consulting industry, Nanette followed a deeper calling in 2026 toward healing, embodiment, and holistic well-being. Since beginning her teaching journey in 2022, she has shared yoga, meditation, and somatic practices with students and clients across Melbourne, the Philippines, and online.

Her approach is gentle yet profound, guided by the belief that healing does not come through force, but through presence. Whether through yoga, bodywork, breath work, or subtle energy practices, she offers spaces that invite people to soften, listen, and reconnect with the wisdom already held within their bodies.

Alongside her ongoing work as a practitioner, Nanette remains a lifelong student. She continues to deepen her studies in movement, embodiment, and nervous system-based approaches to well-being, and is currently undertaking Pilates teacher training to further support strength, mobility, and sustainable movement within her offerings.

Today, her work integrates traditional hatha yoga, somatic awareness, bodywork, and energetic practices, bridging structure and intuition, science and spirit, discipline and softness.

Her offering is an invitation to slow down, to soften, to come home to your Self.

My philosophy

I believe that healing and sovereignty unfolds through lived experience, and in the way we meet life with Presence.

My work is rooted in the understanding that the body holds its own innate intelligence and wisdom, and that meaningful transformation arises not through force, but through awareness, compassion, connection, and intuition.

Through yoga, meditation, bodywork, intuitive and somatic practices, I create spaces where people can slow down, soften, and reconnect with themselves.

In a culture that often values doing over being, this work is a gentle invitation to return Home — to the body, heart, and spirit.

This is the essence of Tirtha Soma: a sacred passage and return to Self.

My Values

Presence

Honour the power of slowing down and being fully present.

Each session is grounded in awareness, allowing space for genuine connection and deep listening to the body.

Intuition

Trust the innate intelligence and wisdom of the body and spirit.

Trust and honour what feels true to you in each moment, and allow stillness, spaciousness and release.

Care

Hold space with gentleness and respect.

Every person is met with compassion, creating a safe environment for release, rest, and renewal.
